What Kartié is for

Kartié lets you report problems observed in public spaces in Réunion Island and follow how they evolve. The app is free. It is not an emergency service: in case of immediate danger, call the emergency services (15, 17, 18 or 112).

The founding rule

You report a PUBLIC PROBLEM, never a PERSON. This rule is not negotiable and governs all the others.

What is prohibited

You must not publish:

• the name, surname or any data identifying a natural person;
• a private address, phone number or email address;
• an accusation targeting an identifiable person or business;
• insults, threats, harassment, hateful or discriminatory speech;
• sexual, violent or shocking content;
• a false, invented or malicious report;
• advertising, spam or solicitation;
• content unrelated to a local public-space problem.

Moderation

Every post is analysed automatically before going live. A post may be allowed, returned for correction, or refused. Any content may also be reported by another user: each report is reviewed within 24 hours, and the content may be hidden while it is reviewed.

In case of repeated breaches of these terms, your account may be suspended or deleted without notice.

Your content

You remain the owner of the content you publish. By publishing it, you grant Kartié a free, non-exclusive licence to display it in the app and on the website, for the sole purpose of operating the service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

You warrant that you hold the necessary rights to the photos you publish.

Displayed statuses

A report's statuses ("To verify", "Reported", "Being handled", "Resolved") are observed by residents, backed by a photo. They are neither an official position of a local authority nor a commitment to intervene. Kartié does not automatically forward your reports to public services.

Liability

Kartié is provided as is. We do everything we can to make automatic moderation work, but no system is infallible: if you see problematic content, report it and it will be handled within 24 hours.

You are solely responsible for the content you publish and for its compliance with the law.

Subscriptions

Kartié is currently entirely free and offers no in-app purchases. If a paid offer were introduced, its terms (price, duration, automatic renewal, any free trial) would be shown clearly before any purchase, and the subscription would be manageable and cancellable from your iPhone Settings.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from the app: Profile, then Settings, then "Delete my account". Deletion is immediate and permanent.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law.
